Here are a few things YOU can do now:
- Use recycled paper and avoid over-packaged goods.
- Recycle as much waste as possible - obtain a copy of the Recycling Leaflet
from the Guille-Alles Library, Citizens’ Advice Bureau or from Richard
Collas, Tel: 247582, or check our recycling pages
- Switch off - save energy at all times.
- Buy the most energy efficient electrical goods
- ask the shop assistant to point them out.
- Insulate your home and fit draught proofing around your doors
and windows.
- Seek out fresh organically grown produce and buy local
produce where possible.
- Buy free range eggs in cardboard, not plastic, boxes.
- Avoid tropical timber products.
- Avoid CFC-based aerosols; buy pump action sprays instead.
- Choose cruelty-free cosmetics and toiletries.
- Walk, cycle or use public transport whenever possible.
- Turn your heating controls down by 1 degree C.
- Use recycled materials wherever possible.
